The tools

Answers you can check, not opinions you have to trust

Every tool takes your actual room and your actual shortlist, shows the arithmetic underneath, and names the standard each figure comes from.

What you are getting

We have no listening room, so we publish no reviews

That sounds like a weakness to put on a homepage. It is the entire method. There are claims whose truth depends on who makes them, and claims whose truth does not. We only publish the second kind, because you can go and check them.

We will tell you

  • What a manufacturer publishes, with the measurement conditions attached
  • What a calculation says, with the arithmetic exposed line by line
  • What a standard requires, quoted from the standard itself
  • Where a manufacturer’s own numbers contradict each other
  • Which products satisfy a constraint you gave us

We will not tell you

  • How anything sounds
  • Which of two products is “better” in any sense we cannot compute
  • That we tested something we did not test
  • A number we could not find on a manufacturer source
  • Anything about build quality or long-term reliability

Unglamorous work that appears to be nobody else’s job.

Who is behind this

Your Name Here

No formal training in acoustics, no professional history in the audio industry, and no listening room. What is here instead is a documented method, a primary source for every claim, arithmetic you can check yourself, and a stated willingness to publish the gaps.

Every other calculator site in this niche is anonymous. We would rather tell you what we are and let you weigh it.
